Vapour Degreasing & REACH – Know your options

The Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of CHemicals Regulations (REACH) are likely to have a significant impact on the use of traditional vapour degreasing solvents and processes.If you currently operate a vapour degreasing process using trichloroethylene (‘Trike’), perchloroethylene (‘Perc’), methylene chloride or n propyl bromide (nPB) you need to be aware that the use of these products in some types of equipment may be restricted, or even prohibited, in the near future.
